Disability History Month 2012
We're celebrating Disability History Month 2012 between 22 November - 22 December!
Throughout this month we're putting on a variety of events to help celebrate how disability rights have improved through time, and to raise awareness about how much further there is to go before disabled people are fully liberated in society.
We'll also be celebrating an influential disabled person each week on this website so keep your eyes peeled.

Influential Disabled People
Week Three - The Direct Action Network
Also know as DAN, this is a group of disabled people who demonstrate peacefully to show the barriers they face in everyday life. Their direct action has highlighted inequality and forced the hands of decision makers to make change and for the Government to introduce new laws to help stop discrimination against disabled people.
