In an exciting step forward for the Department of Political Economy (DPE) at King's, we are thrilled to announce an open meeting between the DPE students and the campaign team, aimed at discussing the crucial importance of establishing a common room specifically designed for DPE students. 

This meeting represents a significant opportunity for all students to actively participate and voice their concerns, suggestions, and expectations regarding the creation of a common room that not only meets academic needs but also fosters an environment of community engagement and collaboration.

Our primary goal is to address the glaring need for a dedicated space that serves the unique requirements of DPE students. The existing academic and communal spaces on campus fall short of providing an environment conducive to the specialized study and interaction necessary for the DPE community. We advocate for the establishment of a DPE common room that will be a cornerstone for enhancing the academic journey and personal growth of students by offering a dedicated area for study, collaboration, and the cultivation of a tight-knit community.

Our campaign has reached a pivotal milestone by successfully gathering the necessary signatures for our petition, leading to its official recognition as a ratified KCLSU campaign. It also marks the beginning of a new phase in our campaign, where we shift our focus towards dialogues with university administrators and stakeholders to turn our vision into reality.
