Overview

KCL Ophthalmology Society is hosting it's first ever National Undergraduate Ophthalmology Conference! This will be one of the only undergraduate conferences focused on exploring ophthalmology as a career and providing the opportunity to learn from the experiences of senior consultants and junior trainees from a wide array of subspecialties.

The conference is held as a charitable event with all proceedings from ticket sales going to Moorfields Eye Charity! Make sure you support a great cause by attending our conference.

This conference will give you the rare opportunity to gain further insight into the field of ophthalmology and explore it as a career option. In addition, it will be the perfect opportunity to network with esteemed consultants and pioneers from the world of ophthalmology.

We will be hosting a number of lectures by keynote speakers from a range of disciplines including cornea & cataract, glaucoma, vitreoretinal, oculoplastics, paediatric ophthalmology and refractive surgery! In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to attend interactive workshops in the afternoon (details to be released soon).

A POSTER PRESENTATION session will run during the lunch break, providing you with the opportunity to showcase your research in the field of ophthalmology. Your work and presentations will be judged by a panel of appointed specialists

ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES WILL BE PROVIDED TO EVERYONE

Poster presenters will additionally receive a presentation certificate and possibly one of the poster prizes!

Please note that every ticket sold will be used as part of our fundraise for Moorfields Eye Charity.

NON-KCL STUDENTS:
You can only buy "Non-member" tickets unless you pay £25 to KCLSU to become an Associate Member and have the right to get a free KCL Ophthalmology membership. You are strongly advised to buy non-member tickets (£25) OR buy KCLSU membership (another £25) if you intend to attend many future KCL Ophthalmology events.

You are eligible for the "member" tickets only if you sign-up as a guest at the KCLSU website and submit the following form to be granted a membership to KCL Ophthalmology society:https://www.kclsu.org/about/kclsu/membership/
You will then, be able to buy a free "Associate Membership" to KCL Ophthalmology Society and can therefore buy your member ticket to the conference (you are not saving with this option as total costs will be £45).

For approval you will need a reference letter from the President, which you can obtain if you request it by messaging us on our page.
