Founded in 2023, the American Politics Society aims to bring together all students interested in American politics and public affairs.
Since becoming a society, we have held a variety of events. We have organized panels led by professors, ex-CIA officials, and associates of some of the most important political think tanks in the world. We co-hosted an event at the residence of the US Deputy Chief of Mission to the UK, Matthew Palmer, allowing our members to engage with experienced diplomats and government officials. On campus, we have often collaborated with Roar News, hosting regular podcasts with our members and committee, and discussing the most relevant topics of US politics.
In 2023, we established our first official partnership with Vote From Abroad. We have since begun hosting voter registration sessions on campus, guiding American students through the registration process to vote in the 2024 US elections, as well as helping them request their ballots.
The American Politics Society welcomes all students (not just Americans) interested in US politics and public affairs. We hope to keep growing our society over the next few years and you can all play a key role in that!
