We are the KCL branch of Students for Global Health UK, a student network and registered charity tackling global and local health inequalities through education, advocacy and community action. We have a vision of 'a fair and just world in which equity in health is a reality for all' and believe that as students our voice is essential to bringing about an equitable and healthy world of tomorrow.
With our events this year (2022/23) covering themes such as - Opthalmology Global Health, Ukraine War, Migrant Health Crisis, and Destigmatising Mental Health - there's something for everybody! Want to dive into the latest debates about humanitarianism and supporting LMICs in times of disaster? Ever wondered how people access mental healthcare in countries like Iraq or Nigeria? How do you perform surgeries when your hospital doesn't have reliable power or light? These are just some of the questions we're fascinated by.
We also offer opportunities through our sister group, UAEM KCL (Universities Allied for Essential Medicines) who do amazing work around access to medicines - make sure you sign up here to find out more about them and how you can get involved!
We are a society for all interested students across King's, not just for health students!
