The Research in Electronics Society at King's College London is a student-led organization committed to hands-on learning and innovation in electrical and electronic engineering. Established to make advanced technical knowledge more accessible, the society delves into specialized areas such as BLDC motor drivers, field-oriented control (FOC), power converters, and embedded systems.

The society provides members with opportunities to participate in exciting projects and competitions. In 2024, we successfully designed an award-winning robot for the Unibots competition, incorporating object recognition and autonomous navigation using custom motor drivers and ESP32 controllers. Additionally, we led an AI robot racing game at King's AI Festival 2024, where human-controlled and AI-driven robots raced through a maze, showcasing advanced motion control and wireless communication. Our work was also featured in an interactive demonstration at the Science Gallery London, where we built a remote-controlled combat robot for a human vs. AI robot challenge.

The Research in Electronics Society offers a collaborative environment for students to apply their skills in real-world projects, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, while fostering a community of passionate engineers and innovators.
