UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office Scholarship for PhD students  

Funding type: Scholarship 

Deadline to apply: Check the website for this year’s deadline.  

Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships allow PhD students from low- and middle-income countries, in the Commonwealth, to conduct research at Kings College for 12 months.

Li Ka Shing Foundation Lord Sandberg Memorial Scholarship  

Funding type: Tuition fee 

Deadline to apply: 29 November 2024  

Eligibility criteria:  

  • Permanent Hong Kong resident 

  • Outstanding academic performance 

  • Provide a personal statement expressing how you have experienced financial hardship 

Undertaking a full-time three-year undergraduate programme at King’s, starting in Sept 2023.

King’s College London is pleased to offer the Li Ka Shing Foundation Lord Sandberg Memorial Scholarships worth £15,000 each to two students annually from Hong Kong.

Chevening Scholarships 

Funding type: Flights, accommodation, course fees and a 20% reduction on tuition fees

Deadline to apply: 1 November 2024 

Eligibility criteria:  

  • PGT Students & Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory. 

  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their award has ended. 

  • Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit their application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honour degree in the UK but may be different depending on the course and university choice. 

  • Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience. 

  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by the Chevening deadline.

Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship 

Funding type:  

  • Full tuition waiver 

  • Three years living stipend equivalent to the yearly UKRI rate, which in 2022/23 was £18,062 

  • $1500 travel stipend 

Deadline to apply: 8 October 2024 

Eligibility criteria:  

  • Applicants must be citizens or nationals of the United States of America at the time of application. Permanent residents are not eligible. 

  • Applicants must have a conferred bachelor's degree or equivalent before the start of the grants. 

  • Applicants may hold a J.D. at the time of application.

FUNED Credit-Scholarships 

Funding type:  

FUNED Master's Credit-Scholarships consist of a package with funds directly applied to the payment of tuition at the university where the master's studies will be carried out.  
Additionally, successful FUNED scholars at King's College London could be offered a 10% tuition fee discount towards their Master's degree at King's.

Said Foundation Scholarships 

Funding type:  

Fully funded scholarships which include tuition fees, full maintenance/living costs for the duration of your course, an arrival allowance, visa and healthcare surcharge fees and one economy return flight.

Eligibility criteria: PGT Students from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine

Harold Moody PGR Studentship 2024/25 

Funding type:  

  • Tuition fees at the home level 

  • An annual stipend (living allowance): at the UKRI rate (pro-rata for part-time registration) 

  • Research costs: up to £1,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time registration)

Eligibility criteria: Black or mixed-Black home fee PGR students UK-permanent residents
