The Faculty of Arts and Humanities is made up of several different programmes of study that sit within departments at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities does not currently have an Academic Association.
Faculty Representation
Reps will be invited to sit on Faculty committees and will also be invited to provide feedback from other students at Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings.
Department Representation
Representatives are elected from each Arts and Humanities department (Classics, the Department of Languages Literatures and Cultures, Culture Media & Creative Industries, Digital Humanities, English, Film Studies, History, Liberal Arts, Music, Philosophy, Theology & Religious Studies),
One or two reps per department are responsible for co-chairing their departmental Student Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) meetings and these reps also represent their department at termly student forums.
Programme Representation
Each Department then elect representatives from within their programme. For example, the Classics department have several reps such as the Classics Postgraduate Taught Rep, the Classics Final year Undergrad Rep and so forth. They are responsible for liaising directly with their respective programme and their peers on a local level. The representatives are responsible for representing their Programme at department SSLCs.
