The Great Hall

The Great Hall is where RepFest will take place. Read more about the room’s accessibility here. There is step-free access to the room.

We will have seats arranged in two rows and the room can accommodate up to 200 attendees.

The first row of the great hall will be reserved for people who are disabled, hard of hearing or visually-impaired. If you need this seat, please come to the front and use it, no need to ask first.

We will have an AV system in place to ensure consistent sound and hearing across the room. Please flag with a member of staff if you have any issues.

Sign In & Rep Networking (9:30-10am)

Sign-in will take place in the foyer outside the great hall. KCLSU staff will be wearing orange t-shirts and will sit behind an orange tablecloth to scan you in. You will need your King’s ID or your K number ready so we can check if you have a ticket.

At sign-in, pick up a colour sticker that matches your faculty so you can find other reps in your faculty.

After signing in, head straight into the great hall, grab a tea or coffee and introduce yourself to other reps.

We know networking isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. If you do not want to talk to anyone, you do not have to. We have ‘please give me space’ badges available. You can also head up the stairs behind the sign-in desk and turn right to relax in a non-networking environment.

Influence Training (10am to 11:30am)

  • Slides will be written in a dyslexic-friendly font, with high-contrast colours.

  • There is accessible and assisted accessible access to all the locations where training is taking place, including all rooms throughout the day.

  • Should you need a sensory break you are able to walk out at any time and take a seat in the foyer. There is additional seating and a café one floor up.

  • Fidget toys will be available for temporary loan from the sign in desk.

This is the longest section of the training without a formal break, but feel free to leave at any time for a breather should you need to.

Organising space (11:30-12:00pm)

After the main training, we have arranged an opportunity for you to chat to other students and staff and find areas of collaboration. We will have a map of students and staff you can talk to, for example: campaigners and student partners working on educational projects for the Uni. If any of these topics interest you, feel free to walk up to their table and ask questions or propose collaborations!

KCLSU staff will also be at every table.

Staff Support

If you need any extra adjustments, or if there’s anything we can do to make you feel more comfortable attending, please let us know in advance.

If anything arises on the day, please speak to a member of KCLSU staff who will be easily identifiable in orange t-shirts (pictured above).
