This is a simple job description with responsibilities that focus in on surveying, feedback and analysis. As this role develops we hope to be able to expand the remit of work. You'll work closely with the Data and Insights Manager and colleagues within the organisation to design surveys that ask effective questions to monitor the performance of our KPIs for our KCLSU Strategy. Alongside you will assist in analysis of the feedback and various types of data. Responsilities include:

  • Working with our Communications team to effectively promote the surveys
  • Creating and migrating surveys using various platforms
  • Monitoring survey/ feedback form responses to ensure we have good levels of participation
  • Managing incentives of survey completion/feedback forms
  • Communicating with other teams to gather the data and insight they collect
  • Analysing quantitative and qualitative data

Strong candidates will have experience in:

  • working with people via email, and face to face
  • administrative work
  • analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
  • basic research
  • building and designing surveys
  • creating various guidelines
  • previous experience with analytical software such as Power BI, Tableau desirable

Knowledge of writing surveys and designing web surveys (typeform, microsoft forms, survey monkey etc.) is very useful. The basic fundamentals will be a good standard of written English, and the ability to use MS Office suite (MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook) to be an effective staff member.

Great skills to have will be:

  • analysis of various type of data
  • excel - Intermediate level – to be able to use formula such as vlookup, construct pivot tables, build graphs and tables.
  • creating surveys
  • administration
  • well-organised
  • methodical worker
  • time management
  • prioritisation
  • confidence to ask for help when necessary
  • independent and self reliant, being able to work without close supervision

We are not necessarily looking for someone with set qualifications, or studying a particular degree. Relevant experience is always a positive in your application.

  • Be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student of King's College London.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK, and provide proof of this (i.e. a passport/visa) when asked by KCLSU.
