Finding strength in support: resources for students

We are deeply saddened by the recent tragedy that occurred on Tuesday, 18 March, which has profoundly affected our King’s community. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the tragically lost student.

Our thoughts are also with another student who remains in hospital, and we continue to hope for their recovery.

In the wake of this incident, we want to ensure that you feel supported and have a platform to express your concerns. We'd like to encourage you to ask for support if you feel affected by these events.

A Space to Remember

In times of difficulty, finding a way to express our thoughts and emotions can bring comfort. In remembrance, you may like to leave a message in one of the condolence books available at:

  • The Strand Chaplaincy room (K2.34)
  • The Physics and Philosophy departments
  • Online
  • On the branches placed at the site on the Strand, where messages can be tied

King’s senior leaders, the Chaplaincy, and Rev’d Dr Ellen Clark-King are available to those affected. If you would find comfort in speaking with them, please do not hesitate to reach out.
