Have you ever wondered where your favorite sandwiches come from? Wonder no more! All tasty treats at both The Shack and Guy’s Cafe are made fresh by none other than The Pure Food Company – an amazing and sustainable food business.
Born in the suburbs back in 1999, The Pure Food Co. started with a simple idea: “create a unique range of foods entirely cooked on-site” (TPFC) and deliver them fresh to their site in Golders Green. Fast forwards 25 years, and this principle is still very much alive. By sticking to their motto “top quality ingredients and some culinary knowledge produce outstanding products” (TPFC), they’ve built a great name for themselves.
We know university life can make it difficult to find affordable, healthy and delicious meals. That’s why when we heard about The Pure Food Co., we couldn't resist adding their creations to our menus. They use Grade A meats – none with added water or salts – and they fall onto the 1% of sandwich manufacturers that create their own fillings – employing personal chefs to create and cook them.
Plus, they rotate their menu twice a year - keeping the range fresh, seasonal and totally on trend.
That is not all! The Pure Food Co. is just as passionate about sustainability as they are about flavor. These days, practices like these are essential for taking care of both us and the planet. Here are some of their eco-friendly practices:
Amazing, right? They also cater to a variety of dietary needs, with options ranging from paninis and toasties to salads and wraps. Whether you’re vegan or wheat-free, they’ve got you covered.
So, next time you're at The Shack or Guy’s Cafe, why not treat yourself to a meal that’s not just tasty but sustainable too? You’ll be supporting your community and the planet as well!
