King's students have a unique opportunity to develop ideas to influence a major new public space in the heart of the university's Strand Campus through a new Strand Aldwych Competition. The winner will receive a £150 Amazon voucher and there are also prizes for six runners-up.
Westminster City Council, working with local organisations including King's, has developed proposals to address these challenges with a £28m improvement project at Strand Aldwych, which is now open for consultation. The plans include the pedestrianisation of the space between the Strand and Bush House buildings.
Draft designs have been published and Westminster City Council wants to hear from as many people in the local area as possible in order to get feedback on the designs.
If you dream of more trees and greenery on the Strand, spaces designed for you to relax, learn or perform, to work and study outside, or a place for you to charge your phone and leave your bike – we want to hear your ideas.
