Looking for something festive to do during uni break? Ice skating is always fun & makes you feel super festive – and chilly! We’ve picked out the best ice rinks in and around London for you to visit, have fun at and enjoy your break.
Nearest tube stop: Waterloo
What: Decked out in beautiful Christmas lights, this rooftop bar is home to some of the yummiest street-food South of the river – and now, until February 2020, an ice rink too!
Tip: Get a free drink by signing up to Bar Elba’s mailing list on their website – or go between 4-6pm every day for BOGOF cocktails ‘n’ drinks!

What: Head over to the newly opened Hopewell Square in East London to skate between sky-scrapers and even bag yourself some last minute Christmas gifts!
Tip: Go between the 12th and 15th of December to see the City Island Christmas Market – with some performances from the National Ballet.

What: This recently refurbished indoor skating arena will keep you safe from London’s unpredictable weather, and provide you with some chilled tunes while you skate!
Tip: Go any Saturday between 20:30 – 23:00 to experience the rink’s Disco on Ice!

What: Camden Market’s North Yard has been transformed into London’s longest ice rink at a whopping 25 meters – perfect to show off your skills and race your friends!
Tip: A ticket from here will get you 20% off at FEST Camden – a one stop party location complete with cabaret, wood-fired pizza and a roof terrace – what’s not to love?
Nearest tube stop: Shadwell
What: This East London rooftop bar is a go-to winter destination complete with igloos for hire for you and your friends. Skylight offers amazing views of London while you skate.
Tip: Go on Sundays between 12:00 - 17:00 for a bottomless prosecco brunch!
