UCU Strikes Marking and Assessment Update

The University and College Union (UCU) announced a nationwide Marking and Assessment Boycott (MAB) on Thursday, 20 April 2023.

While the dispute negotiations are ongoing with UCU affiliated staff regarding pay deductions, we understand that you would be worried about the repercussions of the ongoing strikes.

Recognising the ongoing cost of living crisis, along with the impact of delayed results on final year students, King's College London has released a statement on 8 June, 2023.

“ Most of King’s College London’s academic staff will be carrying out marking and assessment and we expect many of our students will be unaffected by this action. In most cases, students will receive their exam and assessment results on time. However, it is possible that a number of students may experience delays in receiving some of their marks and we are doing everything possible to minimise the impact on these students.”
