What can KCLSU Hubs do for me?

Discover KCLSU Hubs desks – your go-to spot for all things KCLSU!

KCLSU Hubs are support desks at each campus where you can access a range of KCLSU services in person. Located on every campus, Hubs are staffed by students and provide a range of services currently offered by the Students' Union. From buying society memberships to booking rooms and accessing essential services, here’s how the Hubs can help you: 

  • Memberships and donations: Easily purchase society memberships and make payments into a student group account. You can also purchase associate memberships from our Hubs desks. 

  • Room Booking and equipment rental: Access advice on how to book rooms and access AV Equipment in our spaces 

  • Directions: Our desks have maps of campus that you can take to help find your way around. Hubs staff may be able to direct you to specific departments within the building, or help you find out where something is. 

  • Freebies: Hubs desks will often have things for you to take on desk. We have a number of different leaflets and handouts about KCLSU and King’s, as well as freebies such as stickers, pop sockets, and oyster card wallets (depending on availability). You are free to take these at any time. 

  • Sanitary items: Although not kept at KCLSU Hubs, you will find that toilet facilities nearby KCLSU Hubs desks are equipped with a number of sanitary products for you to use. 

  • Assistance in KCLSU Spaces: Our Hubs staff are here to ensure you are able to enjoy using KCLSU Spaces. If you have any issues whilst in one of our spaces, they can offer assistance or advice on who to speak to. Plus – if you leave something in one of our spaces, you can visit the nearest desk to check our lost property box. 

  • Community Leader Support: 

  1. Stay connected with student group committees by visiting our Hubs desks. If you are unable to find contact details for specific committee members on our website, we can pass your details onto them for you. 

  2. Advice on promotion: We have a number of spaces you can promote your student group or campaign around campus. Our Hubs staff can direct you to where they are, or for further advice from our Marketing Team. 

  3. Parcels: Student groups can order things for their club or society to our Hubs desks. The Hubs team will contact the group via email to let them know it has arrived. 

  4. Support with booking rooms 

  • Contacting KCLSU staff on your behalf: If you need to speak to a staff member, or aren’t sure who to contact about a query, you can visit our Hubs desk, where a staff member will be able to direct you to where you can find support. They can even contact staff on your behalf. This applies to all students, not just community leaders.

  • Keep up to date: KCLSU Hubs Desks are a great place to visit to find out about what’s going on at KCLSU. You will often find our desks are decorated for our many different campaigns and liberation history months, so you can always see what is going on. 

  • Give Feedback: We have a box on each of our desks for you to give anonymous feedback. This is then passed onto the relevant team. 

  • Games: Our Hubs desks each have various board and video games onsite. This does depend on the Hubs Desk, but you are welcome to ask what is available for you to use! 

  • General Student Advice: The majority of our Hubs staff are current King’s students, and therefore it is a great place to go if you want to find out more about life at King’s and in London!
