If your answer is yes, then King’s College London Emergency Medicine Society (KCL EMS) is your perfect match!
Our mission is to equip students with the skills, confidence, and experience needed for critical care situations by exploring all facets of emergency and prehospital medicine. At KCL EMS, you can be part of the KCL Prehospital Care Programme (PCP), where medical and nursing students gain real-life clinical exposure through observation shifts with the London Ambulance Service. This unique opportunity provides hands-on experience with emergencies and prehospital care, enriching your learning beyond traditional medical or nursing school offerings.
We also offer a range of engaging talks, webinars, and skills sessions, open to students from all medical disciplines. Our events feature leading experts in emergency medicine (EM) and prehospital emergency medicine (PHEM). Plus, our popular 'Coffee and Cases' series allows students to present interesting cases from their shifts or placements. Don’t miss our Mock OSCE circuits, focusing on A-E assessments - a great way to practice and refine your skills!
